Last week we took the opportunity to head to the beach with my brother and his fiance. It was the first beach trip for both Will and for Bella the crazy lab.
Will had great fun crawling around the beach, playing with the sand and pulling out grass.
Bella had fun chasing Roxy the hyper boxer, swimming in the sea and making friends with a stray dog (another boxer) we later discovered was also called Bella. (No wonder she was following me when I called to 'my' Bella!).
I had fun taking photos of course. It was a great chance to experiment with different lighting conditions. If only I had more willing models!
Bella chasing Roxy as usual:
Oh yeah, Brett also braved the freezing waters!
Mum tried out the ergo baby carrier and helped me alternately entertain Will/control Bella!
A month or so ago The Husband entered a snapshot I took of our labrador Bella into a competition to be in the 2009 Home Hardware 'Dogs on the job' catalogue. A week or two ago we got a phone call to say they loved the photo and she was a winner.
Technically it was a pretty bad shot (taken with my point and shoot before I knew anything about photography) and it's actually come out quite dark on their website, but it is pretty cute.
Bit of a blah day here - weather wise and with Will. Not much chance for photos since I have been stuck inside cleaning all day. An energy company salesgirl came to the door and I ended up transferring companies for the discount - for the second time in six months! I was mortified when she asked to use the table to fill in the paperwork. Had to move the mountain of clean (at least it wasn't dirty) washing to give her somewhere to sit.
I tried to get a shot of the cat being swooped by the mynah birds but it was too miserable and I couldn't get a fast enough shutter speed to catch them. So you're stuck with a less dynamic snap of her.
