Well - I made the move. Typepad doesn't make it easy to export to blogger but with a quick stop in wordpress I moved my posts.

So long in fact, that I have a new baby. Littlest man is doing well. Has reflux but not nearly so bad (yet?) as his big brother had it, so we are coping quite nicely thanks.

Figured out I could downgrade this thing to the basic level now typepad have a free account. Only problem: I can't really modify anything it seems.

Just a quick post to blog some 'macro' shots of flowers I took a while ago and processed today. These were taken with my Tamron 28-75. I'd love a dedicated macro lens - but for now it is on my wishlist, along with all the other things I 'need'.

I have just purchased a set of actions for Photoshop and they are brilliant. I have been having lots of fun going through some older images and practicing with them.

If you love black and white photography and you have photoshop, do yourself a favour and look into different ways to convert to black and white. Simply choosing the automated 'greyscale' will get you flat looking black and whites - if you want more depth you need to do it manually. If that sounds too complex - get an action!

Every little boy needs a sandpit

Shayne built Will a new sandpit for his first birthday. He loves playing in it. He also seems to love eating the sand... but hey that is normal isn't it!! BTW - The dog likes to dig in it as well...

a wonderful year

through his eyes

In between spring showers Will and I went to the park to let his daddy sleep between night shifts. Will could spend hours just examining leaves, sticks and rocks on the ground. I love that everything is exciting and new to him.

Of course - he also likes to give everything a taste:

After dancing around and making 'miaow' noises I finally got him to look at me! For one second.

sick and slack

Here's Will with Bella on the weekend before we all got hit by the dreaded bug racing through everyone I know.

And here he is - in the bath again. It makes him happy for half and hour and exhausts him so he goes back to sleep. His daddy was squirting him with water and he thought it was hysterical!

Celebrations

Yesterday, my beautiful boys made me a very special present for my first birthday as a mum. My wonderful husband has made me quite a few presents over the years but he outdid himself this year with the artistic help of Will.

I think Will has real talent:

A close up of his finger painting. We spent hours analysing this! What can you see in the painting?

 

Shayne (with some help from my mum) put blobs of paint in a dish, let Will paint then put the canvas down to 'print' the fingerpainting. It looks great and I can't wait to hang it on our wall!
